MAGPIE LARK (Grallina cyanoleuca)

Magpie lark

A medium sized black and white bird  seen walking around the pastures in search of insects for food. Some were recorded on Lord Howe Island in 1913, and there is a report ten were shipped to the island in 1924 in response to rats exterminating a number of small passerine birds.
