Strawberry cockle

One of the more common bivalves seen on Lord Howe Island. This species lives in the shallow areas within the lagoon, seen by snorkelers at North Bay or Old Settlement beaches, and the dead shells are often found by beachcombers.

Size:50 to 60 mm
