Apply for membership

All members of the Lord Howe Island Historical Society (Inc.) are bound by the objectives and rules of the Society, and the payment of an annual membership fee. In joining our Society, you agree to:

• the encouragement of studies and research into the cultural and natural history of Lord Howe Island.
• the collection, preservation, and exhibition of books, records, manuscripts, newspapers, pictures, relics and other objects relevant to Lord Howe Island (as per our “Collection Management Policy” and “Strategic Plan”).
• the printing, publication and circulation of journals, books and papers relevant to Lord Howe Island.
• the care and maintenance of Museum property, particularly the Museum building (cnr Lagoon & Middle Beach Roads) and the sublease of parts of the Museum building as required.
• the interchange of relevant information amongst members of the LHIHS.
• the collection and acceptance of funds, legacies, and donations for use by the LHIHS.
• support, as appropriate, other organisations having similar objectives to the LHIHS.
