CRESTED TERN (Sterna bergii)

Vagrant. Two sets of records. One collected by Roy Bell at Old Settlement Beach on 13 February 1915 (Hindwood 1940; AMNH 747120). Three seen by Norman Chaffer in early February 1967 (N. Chaffer diaries, AM). One specimen found by Gary Sefton mid February 1967 (K.A. Hindwood papers, ML). In both cases the records were after periods of storms.
