Ian Hutton receives Honorary Doctorate

Museum Curator awarded Honorary Doctorate

Ian Hutton, curator of the Lord Howe Island Museum, has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by SCU.

Ian was conferred the award of Honorary Doctor in Natural and Physical Sciences during graduation ceremonies at the Coffs Harbour campus of Southern Cross University on Saturday June 26, 2021.

The award recognised his contribution to studies of ecology, conservation and biodiversity on the island for the past 40 years.
