The LHI Historical Society is picking up the project to log all artefacts held at the Museum onto the web based collections catalogue called eHive. This will make the rich cultural items held at the LHI Museum accessible to people around the world.
Over a number of years the LHIHS committee has researched to identify and make some notes about origin and ownership of many items that were collected by Jim Dorman, the founder and Curator of the Lord Howe Island Museum.
Over one hundred items are now online – so have a look at some of the interesting items: https://ehive.lhimuseum.com
If there are any items that you may have some knowledge or comments about the history of any object, the LHIHS committee would be pleased to hear about them. Please email: [email protected]
