World Ocean Day

The purpose of the Day is to celebrate the world’s oceans and how they sustain human life through food, pleasure and recreation. It is also an opportunity to inform the public of the impact of human actions on the ocean, develop a worldwide movement of citizens for protection of the ocean, and to mobilize and unite the world’s population for the sustainable management of the world’s oceans.
